I'm always looking for a series that will capture the imagination of the students that I'm working with on appreciation of the printed word. The characters are interesting and multi-faceted. The story line is exciting and adventurous. Without too much emphasis on alternate life styles, it shows a diverse population living together amicably. As an adult, I find it to be a quick read on a rainy afternoon. It's entertaining without overloading the mind.
